Former 7th Congressional District Candidate calls Military “Hoodlums,” “Nobodies” & “Juvenile Delinquents”

Former 7th District Congressional Candidate, Mande Wilkes, wrote the following on her blog:

~It  used to be that everybody who was anybody enlisted in the military.  Nowadays, everybody who’s nobody serves – a natural consequence of  incentivizing service with signing bonuses, comped education, and plush  pensions. Not to mention that for those in the U.S. illegally, the  incentives are that much more attractive – a respectable way to root  into jobs that wouldn’t otherwise be accessible.

So, what used to  be a military made up of statesmen has devolved into a force comprised  of men who have few alternatives but to enlist. Rather than the symbol  of nobility it once was, military service has become almost a scarlet  letter of sorts – signifying an individual of lesser resources,  breeding, or ambition.~

This obscure blog, with its obscene references to the brave men and women of our military, was covered by another trash blogger in the state using his usual tactic of “shock” reporting to drive people to his porno website for “hits”.

The startling story has been picked up by Garnet Spy and a military blog Black Five. Please be sure to let your military friends, family and co-workers know that SC Patriots love, respect and support them and that we don’t “take a cotton to folk talkin’” about our military this way.

 

I’d like to add this from Charlie Speight’s Garnet Spy regarding the reposting of this outrageous blog on the FITSNews blog site:

For all those South Carolina politicians that quietly use Will Folks’ services, by what moral code do you subscribe that keeps you working with him?

For every politician, journalist, political consultant/operative, citizen, businessman/woman, teacher and public servant, are you willing to let this kind of treacherous attack on our troops go without response?

You were quiet when FITSNews published unsubstantiated tales in an attempt to influence an election.

You were quiet when FITSNews, with Nancy Mace’s approval, denigrates women by using and allowing vile references to women.

You were quiet when Will Folks lies about public (and private) persons to make a buck.

Now, his website, using Mande Wilkes’ “opinion,” has attacked our troops and our entire military establishment.

Do you have a son, daughter, husband, wife, brother, sister, grandparent, niece, nephew, cousin, neighbor or friend in the service? Are you satisfied by leaving this discussion to people who believe those close to you and serving in uniform are thugs and hoodlums?

When good people are quiet, the only voice heard is that of the corrupt.

Amen Charlie! Amen!

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING APRIL 9TH

The Speaker at our next meeting in April will be Nick Adams.

Mr. Adams will be in the SC area and would like to stop by and speak with us regarding “America: Indispensable and Exceptional- An International Perspective.” He normally charges for speaking but since he is going to be in the area, we have agree to “pass the hat”. Whatever we collect he will be grateful.

Below is some background on Mr. Adams:

•          He is a twenty-seven year old Australian elected official, author and speaker.

•          He is a very strong conservative: believes in the traditional family; God; personal responsibility; the sanctity of human life; patriotism; self-reliance; individual liberty; limited government; the right to bear arms; free markets; the state of Israel; a strong national defense; and that that welfare should be a family and church responsibility.

•          He has a love and belief in the ideal of America is in the bloodstream of any conservative, whether or American or non-American. With the secular and intellectual elites of the outside world parading their anti-Americanism regularly through deceit and distortion, Mr. Adams wants to set the record straight and tell Americans that they belong to the greatest nation in the history of the world; and that they should not change. There are elites in America, too, cut from the same cloth, who sadly and dangerously, wish to dismantle America by condemning her to the drudgery of European style socialism. In many ways, while Australia is far better than Europe, it has lost many of its freedoms: in some ways.

•          Since June 2009, he has visited the United States regularly to conduct speaking tours, explaining to audiences his belief in American exceptionalism. He has spoken in over twenty states, with growing audiences and events. The demand for his message has become so strong that he has authored a book called “America: The Greatest Good” in late 2010. He speaks to a vast range of audiences: Republican groups, the Tea Party, Conferences/Conventions, Churches, Chambers of Commerce, High Schools, Universities, Community Groups and Police/Firefighter Organizations and has spoken in Bentonville, Arkansas to Walmart and at Ground Zero. Fox News has referred to him as the “de Tocqueville of our generation”.

•          He is currently working on my second book; the working title of which is “The American Boomerang”- ostensibly about the ability of the American to wander wayward but always come back. This year he is a keynote speaker at the Texas GOP Convention, and at the Centenary Celebrations of the NRA in Arizona.
